Voronin in visita alla tomba della madre
Domenica scorsa, il Presidente moldavo Vladimir Voronin si é recato bnel suo paese natale - Corjova il villaggio sulla sinistra del fiume Nistru, per la prima volta a visitare la tomba di sua madre morta nel 2005.
Il viaggio del  Presidente é stato orgaqnizzato attraverso accordi con  la Transnistria.
Secondo l'antica tradizione locale, i moldavi visitano le tombe dei loro antenati il lunedì successivo alla Domenica di Pasqua ortodossa.

Quindi, il 4 maggio, il Presidente Voronin si é recato a Corjova insieme alla moglie Taissia, suo figlio e nipoti.
Il corteo presidenziale é entrato in  Transnistria  senza problemi fino in città, scortato da auto della milizia della transnistria.

Voronin non ha più visitato Corjova dal 2001, quando ha avuto un ultimo incontro con il leader della Transnistria Igor Smirnov.

L'unica eccezione al divieto di visitare la Transnistria è stata nel 2005, quando si é recato nei pressi del paese per  partecipare alla sepoltura della madre.

Unico ingresso oltre a Voronin fu del Ministro moldavo Vasile Sova, il quale assistendo come nomrale spettatore ad una partita dello Sheriff, fu intercettato dalla milizia della Transnistria e chiesto di allontanardi e lasciare lo stadio di Tiraspol.

“Moldova faces an option: either to Europeanize or transnistrialize,” states the Romanian Europarliamentarian Adrian Severin in an interview for the British EurActiv, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In his opinion, Moldova can join the EU faster than Ukraine, because it is a small country. On the other hand, it is a more difficult case because Moldova is hostage of the Transnistrian problem, says the leader of the Social-Democratic delegation from Romania to the European Parliament.
“Their fight for keeping the unity within borders invented by Stalin prevents them (the Moldovans – e.n.) from progressing enough in terms of democracy, market economy and even in terms of national conscience. My fear is that the current authorities want to create a nation of homo sovieticus and this is very sad,” says Adrian Severin.
“When they are challenging their Romanian origin they are not defending their state, b ecause Romania does not pose any threat for the statehood of the Republic of Moldova. They are actually acting against their own cultural identity and since one needs a cultural identity, they will try to invent an artificial nation”, says the Romanian MEP.
Asked if it was Stalin who invented the concept of “Moldovan language”, Adrian Severin answers: “Absolutely. This is what annoys me very much, that a Stalinist concept meant to divide a cultural nation was used by accident by the EU”. The former Romanian foreign minister adds: “The thing is that Moldovans have to acknowledge their identity, their national conscience -as they wish, nobody forcing them in any direction- , but not as a Soviet nation, for which there is absolutely no basis”.
Adrian Severin opines Moldova should be given a European perspective and European means to progress. “We should try to decouple Moldova’s development from the Trans nistrian crisis.” Also, we should try to come to an agreement with Russia, because all frozen conflicts in the area are part of a single problem: the post-imperial/post-soviet global status of the Russian Federation, concluded the Romanian Social-Democrat in the European Parliament, Adrian Severin.

„R. Moldova are de ales: fie ca se europenizeaza, fie ca se transnistrizeaza”, a declarat europarlamentarul roman Adrian Severin intr-un interviu publicatiei britanice EurActiv, transmiste Info-Prim Neo.
In opinia sa, Moldova poate accede mult mai usor la UE decat Ucraina, deoarece este o tara mai mica. Dar, pe de alta parte, cazul e mai dificil deoarece Moldova este ostaticul problemei transnistrene, spune liderul delegatiei social-democrate din Romania in cadrul Parlamentului European.
„Lupta lor de a-si pastra unitatea in cadrul frontierelor inventate de Stalin ii impiedica (pe moldoveni – n.r.) sa faca progrese suficiente in ceea ce priveste democratia, economia de piata si chiar constiinta nationala. Mi-e teama ca autoritatile actuale doresc sa creeze o natiune de homo sovieticus”, spune Adrian Severin.
„Atunci cand ei isi pun la indoiala originile romanesti, ei nu-si apara statul, pentru ca Romania nu ameninta statalitatea R. Moldova. De fapt, ei lupta impotriva propriei identitati culturale si, de vreme ce toti avem nevoie de o identitate culturala, ei vor incerca sa inventeze un popor artificial”, declara europarlamentarul roman.
Intrebat daca Stalin a inventat conceptul de „limba moldoveneasca”, Adrian Severin raspunde: „Absolut. Si aceasta ma deranjeaza cel mai mult: un concept stalinist a fost preluat accidental de catre UE”. Fostul ministru de externe al Romaniei adauga: „Marea problema e ca moldovenii trebuie sa-si recunoasca identitatea lor, asa cum doresc ei, neimpusi de nimeni, dar nu ca un popor sovietic, pentru care nu exista niciun temei”.
Adrian Severin opineaza ca Moldovei trebuie sa i se acorde o perspectiva europeana si mijloace europene pentru a progresa. „Trebuie sa decupam dezvoltarea Moldovei de criza transnistreana”. In aceleasi timp, trebuie sa ajungem la un acord cu Rusia, pentru ca toate conflictele inghetate din acea regiune sunt parte a unei singure probleme: statutul post-imperial/post-sovietic al Federatiei Ruse pe glob, a conchis social-democratul roman in Parlamentul European, Adrian Severin.
