Diplomas of Moldovan universities not to be recognized in Romania
Romanian Minister of Education Caterina Andronescu requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to suspend the ratification of the Agreement on the Recognition of Diplomas, Issued by Higher Educational Institutions of these two countries.

Chisinau, February 4 ( INFOTAG ). As Infotag reports with reference to www.cotidianul.ro, she motivates this by the fact that Romania can be punished by the European Union for recognizing diplomas of the country, which education system does not meet the European standards. The Ministry of Education has already prepared an urgent draft of the order on the suspension of the Law.
"Moreover, Rumanians, who had studied in Moldova and passed their Doctorate exams, instituted a suit against the Ministry, which did not recognize their diplomas, as they have no scientific value", Andronescu said.
At present the Romanian courts consider 15 suits, where Rumanians and Moldovan citizens demand to recognize their licentiate and doctorate degrees of the International Independent University of Moldova (ULIM), which were rejected by the Romanian authorities.
